Anweshan Ashram was established in 2017. Dr S. Bhowmik and Mrs N. Bhowmik, due to various reasons, decided to spend their old-age life in the village for the welfare of the rural poor villagers. With that motive, they formed a Trust named Anweshan Bhowmik Memorial Trust at the village Fulgeria, P.O. Keushi, Dist-Paschim Medinipur, 721126. There is a well-known English saying that "The Journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step". So, it is not uncommon to find great achievements and movements evolve from humble beginnings. Similar is the case with Anweshan Ashram.
At present, the Ashram has a temple, a public library, a guest house, and a room for a collection of paintings, toys etc for the children.
In short, the Ashram is a completely non-political, non-profitable; only philanthropic and benevolent organisation. Join us in serving the poor and the needy.

Educational Services
We intend to introduce a type of educational approach that recognizes the importance of a child's social, physical, emotional and spiritual development. Some examples of classroom routines are: singing, recitation, dancing etc. Anweshan Vidyamandir has been established for this purpose.
Medical Services
We have been trying to provide medical services to the people of the locality in various ways. Almost every year the rural people have been getting chance to check up their eyes and if needed getting facility for free cataract operation.
On 27th October, 2023 "Anweshan Charitable Homeo Dispensary" has been started for this purpose.
ON 17th Decenber, 2023 second Eye-Operation Camp is going to be held at the Ashram Premises.
Magazine and Book Publication
From 2023 the Trust will try to publish a magazine named "Ajo Anweshan" and books for the moral upliftment of the rural people. Anweshan Library has been established for this end.
Cultural & Spiritual Promotion
The trust will try its best to uplift the cultural and spiritual conditions of the rural society. It will try to explore some
religious and cultural values that make India so unique! We know, India is the home to a rich cultural haritage that includes traditional
music, dance, art and what not. Bhagaban Basudeb Mandir has neen established with that aim.
Here Nitya Puja & Sandhya Arati are chief attractions of the nearby people. Here letcures on the Gita are being arranged regularly. Few seminars were arranged previouslly and in future such type of seminars are to be arranged. Other culcural programmes are also ensuing.
One of the objects of the Trust is to establish study groups and school where importance will be given for th development of physical culture, sports, yogas etc. Here special importance for incalculating & promoting the spirit of discipline, cooperation & service to other & to undertake activities for the promotion of health and bodily perfection.
Harijan Sewa Ashram/ Vridhashram/ Orphanage Home
In course of time the Anweshan Ashram committee will try to serve the orphans, aged people and the depressed classes of the society in various ways.
